Weekly Updates on our parish!

STREAM AUDIO ISSUES We are aware that the current audio for our stream is unclear. This is a temporary fix while we await an equipment repair. Our audio technician is working to get the sound clarity back to normal as quickly as possible. Thank you all for your patience.

ALL SAINTS We will observe The Feast of All Saints on November 2nd. If you have someone you wish to be remembered at that service, please send their name(s) to Melissa no later than Wednesday, October 29th.

GROWING STRONGER Blessed are those who trust in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. They shall be like a tree planted by water, sending out its roots by the stream. It shall not fear when heat comes, and its leaves shall stay green; in the year of drought it is not anxious, and it does not cease to bear fruit. Jeremiah 17:7-8 As Fr. Kirk shared last month, our parish has accomplished so very much over the past year or so, and all of it with God's help. This work has put us on a much more stable financial and operational footing and shown that SLATE has a bright future.  Our goal now is to grow stronger in faith and in our commitment to service.  This inspired the theme of our 2026 Stewardship Campaign, "Growing Stronger." Starting this Sunday a different member of our community will share why SLATE makes a positive difference in their life. Please prayerfully consider how your time, talent, and treasure can support our parish as we continue to grow stronger in faith, fellowship, and service. Pledge cards will be available in the leaflet this Sunday, as well as in the narthex or from the office.  They can also be downloaded HEREThank you for your support of our parish. May we continue to grow strong together.

FLOWERS If you would like to sponsor altar flowers in memory or in thanksgiving, the suggested donation is $100. Please give at least a week’s notice. Contact Melissa with details.

Shampoo & Conditioner (multicultural and variety), Body Wash, Bar Soap (sensitive skin & variety), Feminine Napkins & Tampons, Body Lotion, Deodorant, Wash Cloths/Bath Towels.

Items can be dropped at the office.  If the office is not open, they may be left on the bench but please make sure they are clearly labeled for Mercy Hospice.  Thanks to Brian Triglia Chazin and Nancy Brisbon for coordinating this ministry.
